Two days cbp for covid management concluded smoothly at shopian

Shopian: June, 22 (KNS): Two days Capacity building Programme for Covid management organised by District Disaster Management Shopian and chaired by Deputy Commissioner Shopian, Chaudhary Mohammad Yasin concluded smoothly here today at Mini secretariat Arhama Shopian. OSD Covid, Chief Medical Officer, Block Medical Officer Keller, District Social Welfare Officer, AD Food, Food and Drug Administration Shopian, Health functionaries and hundreds of shopkeepers participated in the programme.
Deputy Commissioner on the occasion highlighted the precautionary measures to be adopted in this regard and said that in view of the relaxation in lockdown in the district with regard to covid-19 pandemic adhere to the advisories strictly issued by the government. He also interacted with the shopkeepers and various measures were thoroughly discussed to give relaxation in lockdown and minimising the risk of infection. The shopkeepers thanked the District administration for participating in the programme and assured that they will strictly follow the SOPs in letter and spirit. He said that different quarantine and isolation wards in different hospitals and educational institutions have also been set up in the district as precautionary to provide first hand treatment to the patients. He said that District administration is on toes to tackle with the situation if any arises so far. He said that our quarantine and isolation wards are fully equipped with proper facilities. He said shops only on rotational basis will be allowed to open for limited period with proper Sops. He said wearing mask is mandatory while coming out from homes and whosoever found violating in this regard will be fined.
On the occasion many doctors spoke and threw light on the importance of precautionary measures to tackle with pandemic. They stressed the need to make use of masks, hand wash, sanitizers and also maintain the social distancing keeping in view the spread of Covid-19 virus.
Later the programme was concluded with training imparted to the shopkeepers by the doctors who stressed upon the shopkeepers to strictly follow the advisories which is need of the hour. Doctors stressed to use masks, wash hands with soap fully, use of sanitizers. Doctors said that mask is more important and is basic pillar in this regard. They asked the shopkeepers that while dealing with the customers whosoever visits to their shops should also follow the guidelines issued by the government in this behalf to avoid the spread of virus.
