TWJA condemns attack on Media persons in Baramulla holds silent protest at Tangmarg.

Tangmarg 25 December (KNS): Tangmarg Working Journalist association a leading body of journalists in North Kashmir's Baramulla District, on Friday strongly condemned "attack and unnecessary harassment" of journalists during coverage of "Jashn-e-Baramulla" at Baramulla in North Kashmir's Baramulla District.

According to KNS Correspondent, President along with members of Tangmarg Working Journalists Association holds silent protest in favour of those journalists who were allegedly beaten by the army personnel at Baramulla today.

President (TWJA) said that an alleged attack on journalists in their line of duty is an assault on Press of freedom.

As per the reports, three journalists were allegedly beaten by the army personnel present at the function where Bollywood actor Amisha Patel was the Chief Guest. The journalists allegedly beaten include Suhail Khan, Online editor Kashmir Despatch, Kashmir Crown Reporter Ashiq Mir and a Mudasir.

Tangmarg working Journalist association strongly condemned the attack on fourth pillar of democracy(KNS).
