Traffic police Srinagar organises seminar on road safety

Srinagar, Jan 23 (KNS): Traffic Police Srinagar today organized a Seminar to debate the different issues faced by different stakeholders while ensuring road safety and find out way and means to counter them.
 According to a statement issued to KNS, Special guest speakers Mufti Nazir Ahmad delivered a detailed talk on use of roads and following rules in light of Hadith.
 Doctor Kangoo from Bone & Joint Hospital Srinagar explained in detail the measures to be taken when an accident takes place.
 "Cultural Officer Education Department have the details of curriculum introduced in text books on road safety and imparting of training to the students. Director Social, Welfare promised all support to the accident victims who are fighting disability. Accident victim namely Waqar Ahmad who had been body builder had met accident and suffered disability made an appeal to the participants to exercise caution in view of miseries it was connected with  Azan who lost his brother narrated woeful tale of his mother and other family members had to undergo and appealed to all the road users to exercise caution," statement said.
The seminar was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Dr. Shahid Iqbal Chowdhury who also made an appeal to road users to take safety measures. Bilal Ahmad Bhat, Addl. Commissioner on behalf of Div. Com Kmr. 
He asked the stake holders to workout strategy to prevent accidents.  
SSP Traffic City in his welcome address highlighted the socio economic issues Hospitalization woes connected to road accidents and appealed all the stakeholders to play their role. 
Dr. Zahoor Ahmd Addl. SP Traffic City thanked the guests and other participants with the request to spread the message.(KNS)
