Gulmarg, Jan 04 (KNS): A 76-year old tourist from Tamil Nadu died of cardiac arrest at world famous ski-resort, Gulmarg on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Kashturi wife of Rthanaelu resident of Chennai Tamil Nadu, who was staying at Hotel Royal Park, Gulmarg.
An official told KNS that the lady was rushed to PHC Gulmarg where from she was referred to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Tangmarg where doctors declared her brought dead on arrival.
“The deceased has Asthmatic history and due to staying in snow bound hilly areas in frozen temperatures, she suffered heart attack and died”, a doctor told KNS.
He requested those involved in Asthma or having lung diseases to stay away from visiting hilly or snow bound areas. (KNS)
