Toiba Colony localities without electricity, appeals authorities to intervene


Srinagar, Aug 31 (KNS): Residents of Toiba Colony, Extension Railway track, Humhama in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Monday complained the area is without electricity since long and the concern department is watching as mute spectator.
According to KNS, the residents of the areas said they are without electricity from several days but despite taking up the matter with concern officials, nothing has been improved.
Shafeeq Qureshi, a local, told KNS that they are receiving electricity from Pir Bagh (feeder 1) which is reaming defunct most of the times due to which area is facing multiple hardships in rising temperatures due to no availability of power supply in the area.
He said despite consumers of the area are regularly paying their electric bills but are not getting good treatment from the concern department.
They appealed authorities to direct the concern department to restore the power supply in the area at earliest so that the hardships faced by people come to an end. (KNS)
