Tipper carrying illegal sand, bajri seized in Rajwar Handwara

Srinagar, July 14 (KNS): Forest Department on Monday late night seized a vehicle carrying illegal sand and bajri in Rajwar Handwara area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
According to reports reached to Kashmir News Service (KNS), a truck having registration No. JK02D-5965 was seized on spot while the driver and conductor managed to slip in dark.
Officials told KNS that on a specific input a raid was carried in Yamrad Forests of Handwara in Compartment No. 6.
on the directions of Range officer Rajwara, a team headed by Gulbaz Ahmad raided the spot and seized a tipper carrying illegal sand and bajri. “The tipper was seized on spot while driver and conductor managed to slip the team taking advantage of darkness”, official said.
Meanwhile Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Langate Abdul Hameed Malla told KNS that strict action will be taken against those who will be found guilty. (KNS)
