The Qalamabad traders Association holds election, Farooq Ahmad elected President, Raja Akber as Gen Sec 

Handwara, Mar 10:(KNS)    The Qalamabad traders Association on Wednesday formed a new body and elects Farooq Ahmad as its President while Raja Akber was selected as General Secretary unanimously.
The election was held at Qalamabad Mawer Handwara, in which 215 numbers of shopkeepers took participated, out of 215 votes, Farooq Ahmad got 125 votes and his opponent managed to score 90 votes only.
Ballot-based polls and nomination process were held at Qalamabad 
The ballot-based elections were held from 11 Am to 2 pm. for the posts of president, President, and general secretary which witnessed 99 percent polling.
Speaking the occasion the president of the Association said, he is well aware of the things which the shopkeepers are facing problems and said he will try his best to redress these issues at the earliest.
General Secretary of the association Raja Akber thanked the members of the association and said I very thankful to those who choose for this post and I will deliver my best to shopkeepers       
Hours after the election results the newly selected District Development Chairperson Kupwara Irfan Pandithpori, DDC Mawer Khursheed Ahmad Dar, BDC Mawer, Tahir Ahmad Mir, BDC Langate, Shokat Ahmad Pandth BDC, Qaziabad Bashir Ahmad, Peoples Conference district president   Hafeez Ullah Mir,New Election Body Traders Federation Handwara Vice Chairman Sahil Rashid Malik members of The Qalamabad traders federation body congratulates the president and the vice president.
Besides them, several other people also congratulate the duo for holding the key posts.(KNS)
