Take my son to drug de-addiction centre, mother appeals admin

Srinagar, Nov 11 (KNS): The drug-addiction among young generation has left scores of families in trauma as same has been reported from summer capital Srinagar were several families appealed authorities to take their sons into drug de-addiction centers.
According to Kashmir News Service (KNS) correspondent, a family from city centre Srinagar today approached local police station and appealed officials present there to take their sons into drug de-addiction centers where they can avail due medical protocol to get rid-of this menace.
A woman (name with-held) told KNS that his son has left the entire family in trauma as he is always demanding money for procuring drugs.
She said that my son threatened me of dire consequences if I will hand over him to officials of drug de-addiction centre. “I will remain there for two to three months and will be back. Then who will save you from my wrath. I will surely kill you”, woman quoted his son as having said.
Her tears were falling on the floor when she was narrating the ordeal to KNS. She added that her daughter’s marriage is few days away but my son’s anti-social activities have brought bad name to our family.
She appealed ADC Srinagar to take her son into drug de-addiction center for his safety.
When KNS contacted Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Srinagar Mohammad Haneef Balkhi, he said this is not the first case you came to know. “Such cases are coming into our notice regularly, there is nothing new”, he said and added the administration will hopefully do something in this regard so that the new generation will keep away themselves from this menace.
