Subject of JK has become enveloped in a dense opacity : Ashok Bhan

Jammu, Oct 17 (KNS): Senior Advocate and chief coordinator Congress Party legal affairs Ashok Bhan said that the subject of Jammu & Kashmir has become enveloped in a dense opacity with layer upon layer of distortions of history,self-serving myths and competing political interests.Peeling off these layers by revisiting history, without prejudice on the real issues involved, can only help in our search for a brighter tomorrow for Jammu & Kashmir.

In a statement issued to KNS he said the centre is pursuing a muscular policy in Jammu & Kashmir that had alienated people more than what ostensibly the objective of the bifurcation of the State was sought to be achieved.

He further said, In Jammu & Kashmir the people are alienated and angry about bifurcation of the State into two small union territories.that is described as anti jurisprudence of constitutional scheme of the Country. To set right the constitutional wrong and address the issues of people’s anger syndrome, the Country’s strategic and democratic interest would be best served with the immediate restoration of Statehood of Jammu & Kashmir.

He said Congress Party is forging a workable unity and alliance with like minded secular parties at the national level for pressing the end of muscular policy exerted by current central and LG government by which the people’s human rights are palpably violated on daily basis, and the bad governance is Galore in Jammu & Kashmir.

There is a dire need for a national political consensus about pressing the ruling dispensation for urgent policy/course correction in view of complexity of the Kashmir Situation.

The three laws recently enacted by the central government : Farmers Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, The Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Service Act, 2020, and The Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020.are essentially anti farmer legislation. That is why the Congress ruled States decided not to implement.Congress Party is committed to scrap these legislation if voted to power in Bihar in alliance with Tejaswi Yadav’s Party.

"This election in Bihar is the election for the new path of progression and the new sky of the Hindu-Muslim unity. This election is the election of new-age versus the experience of failure, this election is the election of self-reliance and progress versus division and hate. This election is the election of a new direction versus destruction, AICC leader Bhan said.(KNS)
