J&K Students Association Urges LG Manoj Sinha, KU Vice Chancellor to reopen Allama Iqbal Library, Says Students Suffer

Srinagar November 12:(KNS) J&K Students Association here on today Urged Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Kashmir University Vice Chancellor Professor Talat Ahmad to reopen Kashmir University's Allama Iqbal Library. In a Statement Spokesperson of Association Nasir Khuehami said that the continuous closure Allama Iqbal library at Kashmir University is adding to the miseries of students. The students studying there are being left on God’s mercy.

He said that, In August 2019, library was closed soon after government ordered closure of all educational institutions across the valley followed by the abrogation of Article 370, Since then 16 months have passed but Government failed to reopen it leaving students especially Scholars at Lurch. Since past 16 Months, Students are not being allowed to enter library and not given access to take study material, how will they study, amid 2G internet connectivity, he added

He urged Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Vice Chancellor Professor Talat Ahmad to look into the matter at an earliest and reopen the closed Library on humanitarian Grounds.(KNS)
