Stone-pelting won’t be tolerated: IGP Kashmir 

Srinagar, Mar 10 (KNS): Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Vijay Kumar on Wednesday said that stone-pelting incidents won’t be tolerated. 
“I want to tell it openly that we won’t tolerate stone-pelting incidents,” IGP said while addressing a press conference.
Stone-pelting incident was reported at the Nowhatta area near historic Jamia Masjid on last Friday. A group of youth had clashed with the security forces deployed in the area. 
IGP Kumar said that the police lodged an FIR into the incident and 15 youngsters, identified through videos were arrested.
“A dozen of them will be booked under Public Safety Act (PSA),” he said.
“Faces of some youth are not clear in the videos. They are being identified and will be arrested soon.”
“A total of 39 persons have been arrested so far,” he said. (KNS)
