Srinagar October 29:(KNS) In the memory of Police martyrs and to pay tributes to the martyrs, Police have organised ‘Run for Unity’ event in Srinagar.

SSP Srinagar Dr Mohd Haseeb Mughal-JKPS flagged off the run at 08:30 am which started from Lalit Ghat and culminated at Botanical Garden. SP Headquarters, all Zonal SsP, DySP DAR Srinagar, DySP Headquarters, SDPOs and other senior officers were also present on the occasion. Officers congratulated the winners 1st-Gulbadin Hikmatyar resident of Ganderbal, 2nd- Muneer Ahmed Dar resident of Khaniyar Srinagar and 3rd- Umer Farooq Bhat resident of Hazratbal and distributed the prizes among them.

On the presentation ceremony SSP Srinagar addressed the participants, appreciated their determination to make the event a success in such a cold morning and hit the ground on time. SSP Srinagar also appreciated the enthusiasm shown by very young kids, who were part of the Run for Unity, and in displaying their commitment to complete the run. He told participants that win or loss doesn't matter, what matters is your enthusiasm, energy and spirit that you all exhibit throughout the game.

On the conclusion of the event, the participants thanked Srinagar Police for promoting the budding talent of the valley and have expressed their gratitude for their youth engagement programs.(KNS)
