Bandipora, June 23 (KNS): Due to rising cases of Covid-19 in Kashmir valley it has become impossible for frontline workers to treat the patients in hospitals and other private clinics in Kashmir as everybody is afraid of the deadly virus.

According to reports reached to Kashmir News Service (KNS), a pregnant lady from Anderkoot village of Bandipora district on Tuesday delivered a baby under open sky in Community Health Centre Sumbal as she had not done the Covid-19 test which is imperative for going through the surgery.

The family of the lady alleged that she was dying of pain and the doctors at the hospital didn’t bothered to touch the pregnant lady, with the result she delivered the baby under open sky by the help of some other women’s.

They also said that the lady was not even given the trolley by the hospital authority. Family demanded stringent action against the accused medical team and said if the doctors will not treat the patients in exigencies then they should die in shame.

Meanwhile Civil Society Bandipora expressed strong ressesment over the callous attitude of doctors of CHC Sumbal and demanded strict action fo them.

Meanwhile Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora ordered an inquiry into incident and directed the ADC Bandipora to submit a detailed report within a period of three days.

Moreover CMO Sumbal Dr Bashir Ahmad evaded from commenting over the matter and said he can't speak as he is attending a video conference. (KNS)
