Soz appeals UT admin to bring back stranded Kashmiris from Gujarat, other states

Srinagar, May 05 (KNS): Senior Congress leader Prof Saif-ud-din Soz on Tuesday appealed J&K administration to bring back stranded students, traders and laborers from Gujarat and other parts of country.
According to statement issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Soz said I got frantic calls from students who are stuck in Ahmadabad (Gujarat) since lockdown. He said the group comprises of twenty-two students including seven girls who are eagerly waiting to return to their homes.
Congress leader, in a statement, quoted student leader Ishaq Majid as having that that stranded students are much worried for their wellbeing and return to their homes.
He strongly appealed J&K UT administration to adopt measures for safe return of stranded students at Gujarat and elsewhere in the country in wake of Covid-19 pandemic.
Soz said, “I also feel that it would be in the fitness of things if J&K UT Administration make its position clear through a statement, giving details on this situation, in public interest.” (KNS)
