Sopore residents decry water shortage

Sopore, June 23 (KNS): Residents of Gousia Mohalla Noor Bagh in sopore town of north Kashmir are in up in arms against the Jal Shakti Department as they failed to provide the portable drinking water to the area.
According to the residents they are being forced to drink containment water which poses serious threat to get infected with water borne diseases.
The residents alleged that they have brought the issued under the notice of concern department several times but the department pays no heed to their pleas.
They have appealed the authorities to provide them the portable drinking water at earliest so they will not face the problems during these pandemic days.
However, when KNS contacted to Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Sopore he assured that the water problem in the area will be redressed soon (KNS)
