Srinagar, Sep 05 (KNS): An Army soldier was killed and two others were injured in cross-border firing along the Line of Control in Nowgam Sector of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district, officials said on Saturday.
An army soldier identified as s Bopender Singh was killed while Lance Naik Venkatesh and Sepoy Shajal were injured who were later shifted to army’s 92 Base hospitals here, the officials said.
They said that both the injured have been moved to 92 Base hospitals for advanced treatment and the condition of the duo is said to be stable
Meanwhile a senior police officer also confirmed the killing of an army soldier and injuries to two other and said today intermittent CFV have been occurring at Hardul sector ( Niwgam LOC) of 17 Brigade, resulted in on spot death of Gunner Bupinder Singh of 327 heavy motors (KNS)
