SMC commissioner took review of development works


Srinagar, June 26 (KNS): Srinagar Municipal Commissioner (SMC) on Friday took a weekly review of developmental works, routine visits to constructional sites, Engineers directed to submit action report, prepare estimate timely.

According to KNS, In a bid to cope up with the pace of developmental works of SMC post Covid unlock one guidelines, Commissioner SMC Gazanfar Ali has directed the engineering wing along with the concerned officials to expedite with the restored developmental works .

An action report in this regard is to be submitted weekly to the Commissioner SMC.
Gazanfar Ali is constantly visiting various places across city along with the entire team of Engineers to identify the various issues particularly related to lanes, drains mostly on public request and in a routine exercise to overcome the hampered progress of work due to Covid 19.

Commissioner shall be frequently visiting all the locations and sites where SMC works are going on in order to review the status and the pace of work.

Besides visiting various areas from down town and uptown Mr Ali today also visited Rambagh area where locals facing problems in the absence of proper drainage and issues related to lanes brought certain other issues into the notice of Commissioner SMC.

On hearing out all the grievances of the people in the area patiently, Mr Ali assured them that all thier problems will be resolved without further delay..

Joint Commissioner works Ishtiyaq Ahmed Shah who was accompanying Commissioner along with the entire team of engineers and other officials was directed to prepare estimate and its timely submission in the office of Commissioner without delay for further course of action.

The engineers have been directed to conduct survey within their concerned jurisdiction and identify the issues that needs immediate attention for the convenience of public.

They have also been asked for timely completion of various projects already assigned to them prior to the outbreak of Covid 19 pandemic (KNS)
