Shun Anti-Youth Attitude: PDP to Government



Jammu, September 22:(KNS) The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) held a meeting of its youth wing at party’s Jammu office today. The meeting was presided over by the party General Secretary Surinder Chowdry and was attended by many senior leaders.

Threadbare discussions were held on the prevailing situation in Jammu and Kashmir in general and the issues faced by the youth in particular.

Speaking on the occasion, leaders in particular decried the onslaught Jammu is undergoing and vowed to fight for the rights and dignity of people of J&K.

The meeting observed that the youth of J&K are staring at a bleak future owing to the anti youth policies of the government that have compounded the problem of already worsening ecosystem for growth and development.

According to statement issued to KNS, The meeting underlined the need of creating new avenues of employment for lacs of unemployed youth in J&K. An important component of such an initiative would be to encourage start-ups by local youth through effective implementation of government sponsored schemes.

Expressing serious displeasure on the recent government order depriving thousands of engineers who were deprived of livelihood opportunities by scrapping of reservation for self help groups of engineers in the developmental works, the party demanded immediate revocation of the said order.

 

Underlining how Miss Mehbooba Mufti had pursued the cause of regularization of over 60 thousand daily wagers, the meeting asked for immediate implementation of the policy of regularization that has been left in limbo.

The party also demanded immediate restoration if high speed mobile internet underlining how the ban had adversely affected education, business and every other sphere of life.
