Handwara: April 21 (KNS): Inhabitants of main town Handwara have complained about shortage of drinking water from last four days.
While talking to KNS, they said they are facing severe shortage of water supply from past four days.
They added that problem has not been solved even after approaching authorties several times.
Sahil Iqbal from Umer Abad Khunbal A said that although water tankers have been put in place but the water doesn't suffice the locality.
Meanwhile ADC Handwara Nazir Ahmad told KNS that due to the recent rains a land slide had hit the main service line resulting heavy damage to it. He assured that the concerned department is on job and by tomorrow water would be restored to the affected areas.
He sought cooperation from people. (KNS)
