Srinagar March 19:(KNS) The J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President G.A. Mir felicitated Sheikh Bashir for taking over as Sajada Nisheen of revered shrine of Sufi Saint Sultan Saheb(RA)Badsgam (Harkura).
Sheikh Bashir is the grandson of Sultan Saheb(RA), and son of late. Lassa Kak, who was also Sajada Nasheen of the shrine and breathed his last, very recently.
In an important function held at the shrine of Sultan Saheb (RA) at Hakura Badsgam in Anantnag District,Sheikh Bashir was unanimously declared as Sajad Nisheen of the Shrine.
JKPCC President G.A.Mir, scores of  religious leaders and scholars and hundreds of local people were present on this auspicious occasion and  felicitated Sheikh Bashir.
The turban ceremony was performed by Peer Nissar Ahmad.
On this occasion JKPCC President G.A. Mir highlighted the services rendered by the family of Late. Sultan Saheb(RA) and termed him (Sultan Saheb) a tallest spiritual and most loving and respected personality of people of J&K.
Mir also prayed for eternal peace to Sultan Saheb (RA) and his deceased son Lassa Kak. (KNS)
