Demands setting up of Covid-19 testing centers in local Hospitals

Banihal; 10 June (KNS): National Conference (NC) leader and District President, Ramban, Sajjad Shaheen has expressed concern over sudden surge in COVID-19 cases in district Ramban especially Banihal Constituency in the last few weeks.
Shaheen said that the continuous surge of Covid-19 positive cases is a matter of concern for Local and the district administration as Covid-19 cases are increasing significantly in the district due to influx of migrants.
In a statement issued to KNS, he has appealed to the government to provide free essential commodities, masks and financial help to all the residents of the areas at their door steps that have been declared as Red Zone, as most of the resident of these localities belong to weaker section of the society.

Shaheen has urged upon the administration to set up testing facilities for COVID-19 in all the local Hospitals in the district especially District Hospital Ramban, Sub district hospital Banihal, Emergency hospital Khari, Ukharhal and Ramsoo and also ensure the availability of personal protective equipment (PPE), including sterile medical gloves, starch apparel, medical masks, goggles, face shields, respirators, shoe covers, head covers and coveralls to all health workers, including doctors, nurses, ward boys, other medical and paramedical professionals attending to patients suffering from covid-19 in the district.
He has also appealed to the people to follow the guidelines laid by the authorities and WHO and take all preventive measure to fight this deadly Virus. (KNS)
