Several Persons Quarantined In Old Airport Awaits For Covid-19 Reports, Alleges Failure of Authorities

Srinagar, July 10 (KNS): Several persons including students quarantined in Old Airport Rangrath in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Friday complained that authorities have plunged them into uncertain situation as their further investigation related to Covid-19 is not beig done.

Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS) over phone, they said their test have been done few days ago and till know the result have not come.

A caller told KNS that his documents prepared by authorities have shown as a traveller of Kazakistan which is blatant lie in broad day light. He said that he recently participated in last rites of his close relative where got infected of Covid-19 virus.

He stated that since then he has been kept into quarantine and following back to back protocol set for Covid -19 pandemic.

He added that his further swab sample was taken a week ago but its result is yet to come. He alleged that authorities have failed to contain the situation and are resorting to cheap tactics with quarantined people whose sample reports are not declared on time.

Meanwhile, Cheif Medical Officer (CMO) Budgam Dr Tajamul Ahmad couldn’t be reached despite repeated attempts by this reporter. (KNS)
