Srinagar, Oct 04 (KNS): The residents of Sempora, Zaffron and adjoining areas of summer capital Srinagar on Sunday expresses dismay over the callous attitude of R&B department and said Sempora to Zaffron road is full of potholes and concerned department is watching as mute spectator.
The resident of the area said they are facing huge problems as the stretch is in dilapidated condition and alleged despite several requests to authorities but nothing has been done to macadamize the stretch.
They said several requests were made to Commissioner Secretary R&B, DC Srinagar and chief Engineer R&B Kashmir but they are making tall claims that work will start at an earliest on this Road so far the stretch has not been macadamized.
They also said the stretch has been encroached by several companies and residents but Tehsildar concerned and other revenue officials are not in a mood to remove encroachments.
Complaints regarding encroachments were send to Tehsildar concerned several times last year but it yielded no results, they added
Sources said tussle between jal shakti Department and Roads and buildings departments have lead to the deplorable conditions of road.
People have appealed Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir to intervene in the mater (KNS)
