SDM reviews KCC under Agriculture & allied sectors in Karnah

Kupwara, September 4 (KNS): In order to review the progress of Kissan Credit Card (KCC) and other relevant schemes under Agriculture and allied sectors, Sub Divisional Magistrate(SDM), Karnah, Dr. Bilal Mohiddin Bhat IAS today chaired a meeting of concerned officers and impressed upon them to intensify their efforts to cover up all farmer families of the border area under the ambit of different welfare schemes in vogue.
It was informed that 10852 farmer families have been saturated for benefits under KCC Scheme through Agriculture and allied departments in the entire sub division, of which, 2343 farmer beneficiaries were already active under KCC before the launch of PM Kissan programme. Besides, 5148 farmers have been registered under PM Kissan since the inception of the scheme. Likewise, 3361 farmers have been registered during the fortnight "Kissan Pakhwada" programme in last month.
The SDM directed the concerned officers to work in coordination among themselves in facilitating hassle free loans to farmer community to attain the convergent goal of doubling up the farmers' income.
Tehsildar Karnah, Naib Tehsildars, BVO, Agriculture Extension Officer and SDO besides, Branch Heads of JK Bank Tangdar , Chitterkote, J&K Grameen Bank attended the meeting. (KNS)
