Schools Charge miscellaneous Expenses Despite Govt. Orders

Srinagar September 12:(KNS) Social Activist Sardar Tajinder Singh today said that as department of Education has ordered Pvt schools to only charge tution fee from students in wake of covid19, several schools are violating the order by charging miscellaneous expenses in the name of tution fees.
Tajinder singh said that some Pvt. Schools are forcing parents to pay miscellaneous fees despite the school being locked from last six months owing to the pandemic covid19,singh said school are chargeing miscellaneous fees is against the orders of government fee fixation committee and urged formation of fee grievances cell to keep check on the schools.
Singh said annual fee are customarily imposed for extra curricular activities which were not held this year then how management of school can charge as students did not attend their classes.
Tajinder said strict action should be taken in terms of relevant provisions of law in case of any violations by the school management which are violating the law and harassing the Parents which are already facing financial problems due to covid19 , espically business and poor class of jammu and kashmir.(KNS)
