Srinagar, May 28 (KNS) A sarpanch was killed, while as two other persons where injured in a road accident in Nagri area of north Kashmir's district Kupwara on Thursday evening.

Official sources said that a vehicle met an accident in village Nagri in Kupwara,
resulting in critical injuries to the three persons. The injured persons where immediately taken to a hospital where one among them was was declared brought dead.

The deceased was identified as Mohammed Sarwar Ganie of Nagri, a Sarpanch by profession. After completing all the legal and medical formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites, the sources added.

Meanwhile the identification of the other two persons was not known immediately(KNS)
