Srinagar 13 February (KNS): Independent candidate safeena Beigh bagged chairperson post  while as sonaullah parrey of people’s conference bagged vice chairman post in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district, voting for which was held on Saturday in District Adminstration complex Baramulla which was deferred due to lack of quorum on 08 February.

Official source told news agency-kashmir news service (KNS) that, Independent candidate Safeena Beigh  became victorious after bagging total of ten votes against her rival candidate qurat Bashir by a margin of 4 votes.

Whileas,  Sonaullah parrey of people’s conference became the vice Chairman  through Random toss after He and independent candidate irfan Hafeez Lone bagged seven votes each. 

14 DDC members including two each from NC, congress, PDP, Apni party, three from people’s conference and three independent members participated in the process.(KNS)
