RTI activist seeks info on COVID pandemic related purchases, MC Baramulla denies

Srinagar, September 5 (KNS): A Right to Information Act activist accused the Municipal Council Baramulla of denying information regarding the purchases related to COVID pandemic by the Council.

The RTI Activist Siraj ud din Salam told KNS that he had asked for information about beneficiaries and fund distribution of housing for all scheme from MC Baramulla but was denied by the authorities.

“Then I filed for the first appeal before Director Urban Local Bodies and only after that I was provided 10 per cent of information which I asked and that is not readable. They have done it deliberately,” he told KNS.
