Anantnag, Dec 02 (KNS):Principal Secretary to the Government (Power Development Department and Information Department) Rohit Kansal on Wednesday chaired a meeting with DDC’s of Anantnag and Kulgam K.K.Sidha & Showkat Aijaz Bhat, Chief Engineers of Distribution, Transmission, Projects, technical secretary, SE’s and Xen’s of PDD Anantnag & Kulgam at Dak banglow Khanbal to review the power sector scenario and implementation of centrally sponsored schemes under implementation in Anantnag & Kulgam Districts.

According to KNS correspondent, Kansal directed the Engineers to ensure power supply according to curtailment schedule. He also appealed the public to make judicious use of electricity, not to use banned gadgets and pay electric bills in time. He also informed the meeting that 10 to 15 % increase has been made in power supply as compared to last year supply and 50 % transformer damage has been recorded by the department. He was also apprised that Mir Bazar Grid station line has been upgraded to ensure better power supply.

The Principal Secretary also took a detailed review of the power sector & implementation of centrally sponsored schemes under execution in both Districts of Anantnag & Kulgam.

Later he also visited Mir Bazar Grid station to inspect the various sections of the station(KNS)
