Srinagar, Oct 01(KNS): A pall of gloom descended on the Media fraternity when a young correspondent of Srinagar based English daily newspaper Rising Kashmir died of heart attack this afternoon in Baramulla district.
His colleagues told KNS that Javid Ahmad a resident of Watergam fell unconscious after suffering a massive heart attack at Pattan.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
Rising Kashmir Editor Hafiz Ayaz Gani told KNS that demise of Javid Ahmed is a talented reporter is a personal loss to him.
" We all are heartbroken due to the loss of Javed," he told KNS over phone while he was on way to Javid's residence.
Meanwhile a prayer meeting was held at the KNS office which was attended by staff and chaired by KNS Editor in Chief Muhammad Aslam Bhat.
The members prayed for the departed soul and expressed sympathies with the family of Javid and Rising Kashmir family.(KNS)
