Srinagar 21 February (KNS): Rural Farmers coordination Committee in an apeal  to the Commissioner Food and District Devlopment Commissioner shopian for allotment of Subsidised Kerosene oil in District Shopian and requested Food Commissioner, Simrandeep  Ji,that the order issued by DC shopian should be followed in letter and spirit and added that despite the order,when we contacted the Kerosene dealers, they said that only 38800 families will get kerosene in February 2021 instead of 61666 families.

And appealed to Food Commissioner, Simrandeep  reads," we the people of shopian district are highly thanked with your good self as your honor have allotted 216 ks of SKO to district Shopian for its distribution among the all people residing in the district, as per recommendation of deputy commissioner shopian by doing this that all the people have facilated by the said kerosene oil distribution for its use as Like cooking lighting especially for heating purpose.
The letter further reads, "Besides we have contacted the retail kerosene dealers of the district and they are asking us that only 38800 families will get kerosene in February 2021 instead of 61666 families, which is very injustice for the people of Hilly district shopion as the people of district are facing economically hardships since last some years continuously. More over in the view of climatic situation emerged in the district the Deputy Commissioner shopian have recently issued an order Vide no. DCS/ADC /-P5/21/162-64 Dated 12/12/ 2021 which reads as under;
"The distribution SKO ( subsidized kerosene oil) is hereby released for all ration tickets holders irrespective of their category, it is entrusted upon the ASSISTANT DIRECTOR FCS & CA to ensure the smooth distribution of SKO to all the ration ticket holders that is 60666 @ 3.5 liters/ rationaees for the month of February-2021 the order may be implemented in letter and spirit.

The letter further reads that, "Now therefore and inview off above facts and also poor condition of the people of district shopian, the commissioner food, Sh-Simrandeep-Jihas requested to direct the food department shopian for implementation of order as above issued by Deputy Commissioner shopian for providing of the kerosene to all people of district from Feb. 2021 ,so that the people in general will feel a sign of relief".(KNS)
