Restaurant and Cafe Association of Kashmir meets Advisor Baseer Ahmed Khan.

Srinagar, June 22:(KNS) On Tuesday a delegation of RAK (Restuarant and Cafe association led by its President, Sheikh Feroz, met Baseer Ah Khan, advisor to lieutenant governor  in SKICC. The President raised various issues regarding revival of this industry. The main focus was to allow full fledged operations of the restaurants in Kashmir with 30-50% occupancy. President assured the Advisor that proper SOP’s will be followed for the safety of our esteemed customers and the community as a whole. He also raised the issue of rentals being charged by the landlords be it government owned properties or private. The RAK president also requested the Advisor to help us in this matter so that we get rental waivers especially on government owned properties. He informed the Advisor about soft loans to Chairman J&K bank and other financial institutions. Vice President, Babar Chowdhary, raised the issue of parking problems faced by the public near restaurants and requested the Advisor to look into the matter. Secretary General, Sheikh Imran, fully supported and endorsed the views expressed by the President, Sheikh Feroz requested Baseer Khan to announce amnesty for electricity bills, water charges, license fees and rentals on government buildings rented by some restaurants in the valley. The Advisor gave a patient hearing and assured that he will look into the matter and will come up with a positive way out very soon. The other members of RAK present in the meeting were Osama Burza, Khalid, Amir Rawa, Kaiser and Sajad Ahmed Bala.
