Religious congregations to remain suspended during Ramadhan: Aga Syed Hassan


Srinagar, Apr 17 (KNS): Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian on Friday stated that all religious congregational activities in Jammu and Kashmir will continue to remain suspended during the Holy month of Ramadhan as per the advisories of Religious authorities and international health institutions like WHO and other medical expert bodies.
According to statement issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Aga Syed Hassan Al Mosavi Al-Safavi said in continuation of the executive order No. JKANESS/Tabligh20/2020/03/05 that suspended all Religious congregations, Friday Prayers, Congregational prayers, Majalis, Marsi Khawani, Jeshn-e-Milad, educational activities, and any Tabligi or Azadari activity that involve gathering of more than four people, is issued supplementary executive order that states previous order standing especially during the month holy month of Ramzan.
He said that in a virtual meeting with all zonal presidents across Kashmir and Ulema of Hawa Ilmiya Jamia Babul Ilem, where fatwas and statements of the Mujtahids and WHO advisory were discussed, it was decided not to invite any international delegates of Qaris or NaatKhawns as has been taking place in past years. The Congregational Quran Khawani and recitation training will also not take place in the coming Holy month due to the prevailing condition. No Chilla, the 40-day self-confinement in Masjids will be allowed until further orders.
He advised people to pray individually at their homes and explore spirituality with Allah (SWT) and Ma’rifat of the Prophet (SAW) Ahl-e-Biat in this crisis. “Performing social responsibility is of utmost importance so voluntarily donate alms and charity, share your surplus and make supplication for well-being of every person of the world”, he said.
