Srinagar, May 15 (KNS): People's Democratic Party leader Mohammad Yaseen Bhat on Friday has appealed the Government to release the Party President Mehooba Mufti and other political detainees ahead of Eid-ul- Fitr.
According to KNS correspondent, PDP leader Mohammad Yaseen said that "I appeal Centre and local administration to release our party President Mehbooba Mufti, party leaders and other political detainees before Eid". " I don't know why our party leaders are behind bars and house arrested since August 5, without doing any crime", he added. Calling it 'murder of democracy' Yaseen also condemned the extension of Mehbooba Mufti's PSA detention for more three months.
PDP leader also appealed administration to evacuate Kashmiri Students stranded in Kolkata amid ongoing nationwide lockdown. (KNS)
