Recent developments have potential to further improve JK narrative: Chrungoo

Jammu 01 April (KNS): The delimitation process is an important issue that the minorities of Kashmir have their stakes in. As the Indegenous people of Kashmir, it is important that the ethnically cleansed people, the Kashmiri Pandits, are restored the opportunity to get represented politically by reservation or nomination in the Assembly and the Parliament. The recent detailed presentation before the Delimitation Commission is aimed at the same purpose, said Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, senior BJP & KP leader and Incharge: Deptt of Political Affairs and Feedback, J&K-BJP.

As per the statement issued to kashmir news service-(KNS), Chrungoo, who recently met the Delimitation Commission in New Delhi alongwith the senior KP leader and Incharge India Chapter of GKPD, Utpal Kaul and the Kashmiri Sikh activist, Sardar Harbans Singh, was interacting with the prominent activists in Jammu today. He was addressing them about the recent developments that have potential to further change the political narrative in respect of Jammu and Kashmir.

He explained the contours of the recent LG's statement that the issue of the PM's package for employment is entirely different from the issue of the resettlement of the displaced community in Kashmir. "It is completely in line with what we have been saying for the last twelve years ever since the package was announced by the government of India to balance the then ongoing case in the court. The PM's package for employment is simply a subsistence package relating to economic emanicipation of the KP educated unemployed youth while permanent return and resttlement is a political issue that will be settled at the political level alone. The BJP government at the Centre headed by Narendra Modi has the will and competance to take a historic decision about the resettlement issue".

There can be no two opinions that the nation and the government are concerned about the Pandits and their future. The statement of RSS vindicates this position candidly. 'Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) for the first time in its 96 year old history after its formation in 1925 is going to organise a three-day long Navreh festival from April 12 to 14 this year. The festival will conclude with the virtual address of RSS chief (Sar-Sanghchalak), Dr. Mohan Rao Bhagwat to the displaced Pandits putting up all over the globe', Chrungoo further said.

"It is a great occasion to take the issue to the national level again and link it with a desire to instill a confidence among the displaced community that the entire nation is solidly behind them for their return and resettlement in their ancestral homeland–Kashmir wherefrom they were forced to leave over 31 years back. RSS, being a nationalist and patriotic organization, could ill afford the ethnic cleansing of nationalist people from Kashmir. It will be all the more important to take the displaced community into confidence regarding their geo-political aspirations in this regard", added the BJP leader, "The Kashmiri Pandit community is definetly destined to contributed to the 'history in making' in Jammu and Kashmir during the year 2021 and onwards. A lot of opportunities will be there to set the positive tone for a bright future in J&K leading to peace, progress and prosperity in the days ahead".(KNS)
