Jammu Feb 23:(KNS) "While the nation commemorated the 27th anniversary of the unanimous parliamentary resolution on Jammu & Kashmir, a few mainstream Kashmir centric politicians kept themselves busy in ranting of 'Resolving Kashmir'. In a statement to "KNS" reads, The fact of the matter is that this sort of Kashmir narrative has lost its sheen and relevance and is completely outdared after the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A in August 2019", said Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, senior BJP and Kashmiri Pandit leader and Incharge, Deptt of Political Affairs and Feedback, J&K-BJP.
He was reacting to the statements of Farooq Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti, ex-CMs of J&K which called for 'dialogue with Pakistan and resolving Kashmir'. "It seems that their cloak is struck somewhere in the history of the last one century, and they try to make their followers live in the past than in the present", said Chrungoo.
He was speaking in a meeting of the intellectuals at Jammu organized in connection with the commemmorating of the Parliamentary resolution of 1994. The members attending the meeting reiterated their commitment and resolve to liberate the Pakistan occupied Jammu and Kashmir and merge them in the Union Territories of J&K and Ladakh.
"The state of India is guided by the recognised doctrine that 'terror and talks won't go together'. The current government at the centre is deeply committed to this doctrine and there is no case for any sort of review of this stand till Pakistan dismantles the terror infrastructure on the land under its control and stops cross-border terrorism", Chrungoo added.
The re-election of the President of PDP is an endorsement of 'feudal family politics' in the Jammu and Kashmir alongwith the tradition of NC as well in this context. These parivar-parties have developed a vested interest to keep the pot boiling in Kashmir and disturb peace in the Jammu region as well. They tried to interfare in the affairs of Ladakh Union Territory as well, but have got rebuff from the Ladakh citizens.
"All those political players involved in the fake narrative of the so-called resolution of Kashmir diatribe need to come out of their mental cocoon and realise that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have been provided with an ample opportunity to establish peace, progress and developmental mode of direction. In addition, the democratic institutions have been strengthened through successful Panchayat, BDC and DDC elections in the union territory. There are further opportunities available for growth of industry, agriculture, tourism, health infrastructure and highways in the union territory. All these projects will create jobs for the youth in diverse areas. It will be worthwhile that the 'Khandani-Jagirdars' shun politics of double meaning and double standards and allow the common masses to get benefitted from the central schemes which are extended to the UT after the abrogation of Article 35A and 370", Chrungoo further said.(KNS)
