Pulwama and Tangmarg shines in NEET, brought laurels to valley

Srinagar, Oct 17 (KNS): Basit Bilal Khan of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday secured 695 points out of 720 in National Entrance Eligibility Test (NEET) examinations.
While talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS) Basit started his chat by praising Allah for his success, after that I want to give credit to my teachers.
He said I am so much excited, the result surprised me as I was not expecting to be a topper.
“I am feeling proud for being topper from J&K”, he said.
While quoting Jim Rohn a motivational speaker, he said, “If you are confident you find ways, if not you find excuses” No doubt the situation in Kashmir was not supportive but I focused about my goal. He added “I put my best and I am happy now” he said.
Meanwhile twin brothers from north Kashmir’s Kunzer Tangmarg namely Shakir Bashir and Gowhar Bashir have also qualified the NEET with 651 and 657 points respectively.
The duo also thanked Almighty Allah and subsequently credited their success to their parents.
“Our parents sacrificed all their comfort for our future. It is not important that everyone will qualify NEET, there are many other courses where one can have also a bright future. I would like to recommend to other students, that career counseling is imperative to make a good future”, Shakir Said.
The duo who made it in second attempt said that failure in the first attempt made us enough strong to generate motivation for appearing in second attempt and with the grace of Almighty we qualified.
Around 15.97 lakh students were registered for the exam out of which 13.66 lakh appeared. Out of the number 7.7 lakh candidates have cleared the test. The NEET exam was conducted in the second week of September with a participation of over 20,000 candidates from J&K. (KNS)
