PSAJK condoles demise of Chairman CWEI Altaf Gowhar

Srinagar, June 23 (KNS): Private Schools Association of Jammu and Kashmir (PSAJK) has expressed its condolences over the demise of teacher, educationist and Chairman Children Welfare Education Institute (CWEI) Altaf Gowhar.
The Association held a condolence meeting wherein the participants remembered the life and work of Altaf Gowhar. President PSAJK G N Var described Altaf’s demise as a huge loss for the Association as well as the students.
It is pertinent to mention that the deceased is the brother of great Islamic Scholar Maulana Adnan. The Association also expressed their heartfelt condolences with Maulana Adnan.
“A polite, polished well mannered, always smiling, Altaf Sahab was one of the pioneers who acted very hard to provide a viable platform to private school organisers in Kashmir. He was a committed and dedicated teacher, master, manager, organiser possessing every quality to lead and representative,” said Var. “We have lost a friend, colleague, and a close companion.”
Shabir Ahmad Mir, Vice President PSAJK said that it was a personal loss for him as Altaf was a close friend as well as a colleague par excellence.
M Y Wani General Secretary PSAJK termed the departed soul as a noble school teacher who was committed to providing quality education to students.
Manzoor Ahmad Wangnoo Chairman, Chairman Environment & Relief Council of PSAJK said that Altaf Gowhar was a sincere educationist and a well wisher of students.
Mansoor Ahmad, District President PSAJK Srinagar termed it as a loss of a pious soul, who had dedicated his life towards spreading the light of education.
Abdul Majid district coordinator PSAJK Srinagar said that Altaf Gowhar was a torchbearer for private economy schools and his vision towards providing affordable quality education to masses will remain relevant for a long time to come.
The meeting concluded with prayers for the departed soul. The participants prayed for the grant of Jannat to the departed soul and courage to the family to bear this loss.
The participants reiterated that the Association stands firm besides the family of the departed soul at this hour of grief. (KNS)
