Blame game a torture to the apartheid employees: Qayoom Wani
Baramulla, June 09 (KNS): Taking as dig on the blame game upon prevalence of SRO 202 for employees of J&K appointed after June 2015 and having being suffering even after the expiry of the due time of the SRO.
In a statement issued to KNS, Former EJAC President and civil society member Abdul Qayoom Wani said that it was sheer injustice with these employees who got recruited on merit but the SRO 202 passed by govt in 2015, were pushed to wall as these employees were given meager salary and had to complete five years of probation for permanent confirmation.
He portrayed it as a black law against the qualified youth of j and k and is brazen violation of supreme court rulings of equal work equal wages.
He also said it was too discriminatory to give two categories of employees working same quantity and quality of work two different salaries.
Wani justified the peaceful agitation of these employees and extended his moral support to the employee fraternity from civil society.
Wani asked now when claims of justice are being made then why this discrimnation. Pertinently those employees who have completed the probationary period of five years have not been confirmed yet for full benefits as of their counterparts.
He has has urged upon the govt of j and k to revok this cruel and obsolete SRO that he said was a black stain on justice and is hanging sward on the heads of employes and educated youth of JK. Wani also showed serious concern about the non seriousness of the govt for not proving job security to the employees working under centrally sponsored schemes like samagra ,RMSA ,NHM, MJNAREGA,and depriving them from the benefit of equal work equal wages as per supreme court guidelines. Wani also showed resentment on the pathetic condition of temporary employes in all deptts such as daily wagers ,casual labours ,contingent paid workers who are waiting for their regularisation despite time bond agreements from govt . Wani said these temporary employesare being treated as bonded labours and have been deprived fro minimum wages act which is their fundamental right .
Wani assured them full support from civil society for their justified struggle. (KNS)
