Kupwara, July 23 (KNS): District Police Kupwara on Thursday carried out a Covid-19 awareness rally and impressed upon locals to combat this pandemic together.

According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), an awareness rally was organized under the leadership of SSP Kupwara Shriram Ambarkar in which people across the district was urged to take utmost precautions while carried out daily affairs and resolved that the fight against the pandemic will be overpowered with joint efforts.

SSP Kupwara while talking to media personnel requested general public to follow all SOPs issued by administration in order to keep the disease away. He added the pandemic can be defeated with joint efforts and sought peoples cooperation in this regard.

He warned violators if they will mend their ways, they will be dealt as per law of the land and appealed people to maintain social distancing for containment of virus.

“Those whosoever will be found involved in breaching SOPs will be penalized”, SSP said.

He paid tributes to officials from administration and police who rendered their services for the wellbeing of community in tough times.

Notably, after surge in Covid-19 caseloads in Valley and subsequent deaths divisional administration Kashmir on Wednesday announced six-day lockdown which will end on July 27. (KNS)
