Police Organises Community Meet In Uri

Uri, June 23 (KNS): A police public meeting was held on Tuesday at PS Boniyar which was chaired by SDPO Uri.

According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), the meeting was conducted according to protocols set for the containment of Covid-19. All participants maintained social distancing and acted upon precautionary measures to keep the pandemic away.

The meet was attended by BDC Chairpersons, Sarpanches, Panchs, trade leaders, Presidents of Boniyar, Chandanwari and others besides respectable citizens of the area.

At the occasion, a gathering of 10-20 people was addressed during which police officers sought their cooperation regarding the arrangements put in place for containing Covid-19.

Further participants were impressed to support police and other law and order agencies whole heartedly in curbing social crimes especially drug menace etc.

The PP meet was chaired by SDPO Uri Junaid Wali, during which SHO Boniyar Tariq Shah, was also present. The issues raked up by public were heard by SDPO and SHO Boniyar patiently and assured of their redressal.

Issues like construction of community bunkers, checking of limestone, gypsum carrying vehicles with overload of material etc, repair of road stretches, provision of medical staff , facilitation of mobile communication etc were among the issued taken up during the meeting. (KNS)
