Ganderbal September 09: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police in Pulwama & Ganderbal destroyed wild bung spread on the vast tracts of land.

In Pulwama, Police team headed by SDPO Litter and SHO PS Litter alongwith the local volunteers of the area destroyed wild bung in village Rakh-Litter.

In Ganderbal, officers from Police Station Ganderbal along with excise team destroyed wild bung spread on vast tracts of land in the areas of Bamloora and Khan Harran. A team from Police Post Shadipora also destroyed wild bung spread in the areas of Narayanbagh, Dub, Thokerpora, Khanmohalla and Dar mohalla.

General public of these areas have appreciated the action of police and have urged to continue such drive in nearby areas also.

Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding cultivation of contrabands in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling & cultivation of contraband substances shall be dealt as per law.

Our consistent actions against such anti-social elements should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace.(KNS)
