PHE supplies unsafe water to Beerwah villages, risks Public Health

Srinagar, April 16 (KNS): Several villages of Beerwah area in Central Kashmir's Budgam district are being compelled to drink unsafe water.

According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), residents of sevral villages include Kanigund, Ohangam, Rathsun and Churmujroo alleged that PHE department is supplying muddy water which is unsafe to drink resulting increase in health issues during Covid-19 pandemic.

Mohammad Ashraf, a local, told KNS that "Despite complaints regarding the supplying of harzardous water, concerned authorites are paying deaf ear to our grievances".

When KNS reached to Executive Engineer PHE Budgam Gurdeep Singh, he said "I have sent my field officer in respective areas to know the matter". He assured that the matter will be addressed without any delay". (KNS)
