Karnah Nov 16 (KNS): A pedestrian was killed while as another was critically injured after speedy vehicle hit them at Kandi area of Border town Karnah north Kashmir's Kupwara district on Monday evening.

According to Kashmir News Service correspondent a speedy vehicle Tata (709 ) bearing Registration Number JK09A 8515 hit the duo when they where walking on the road side resulting the death one person and injuries to another.

The deceased person has been identified as Shavaiz Ahmad Son of Abdul Hameed Resident of sumbalpora dildar while as injured person has been identified as Fida Hussain son of Abdul Hameed khawaja resident of Dildar.

Soon after the accident the injured was moved to SDH from where he reffered to Srinagar for advance treatment in critical condition.

Meanwhile, a police officer also confirmed the accident to KNS and said investigation in this regard has been taken up(KNS)
