PDP to hold leadership meeting on Thursday to chalk future strategy

Srinagar, September 2 (KNS): Days after National Conference (NC) called Political Affairs meeting, People's Democratic Party (PDP) has also called a meeting of its leadership to chalk out future strategy of the party in present political scenario of J&K on Thursday.
This is first meeting of PDP leadership after Abrogation of Article 370 last year to discuss present situation of the J&K.
Senior PDP leader Abdul Rehman Veeri confirmed that PDP has called meeting of leadership to discuss present situation in J&K.
“We have sought permission from Divisional Commissioner as well as IGP Kashmir for the meeting. So far nothing has been communicated to us regarding their decision. The meeting is scheduled at 11:00 am on Thursday at party headquarter”, Veeri told.
Meanwhile PDP General Secretary Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura informed KNS that party leaders who are in house detention have also sought permission from Civil and Police administration. “We have sought permission from Deputy Commissioner Srinagar and the same copy has been forwarded to IGP Kashmir and SSP Srinagar, for participation in the meeting”, Hanjura said.
He added the meeting will be a get-to-gather after a long time and party leaders will deliberate upon the present political situation.
It is worth to mention that National Conference also organised several meetings with their leadership chaired by Party patron Dr Farooq Abdullah and it was followed by PAC meeting of the party to discuss present situation. (KNS)
