PDP Holds Meeting of Budgam Leaders & Workers

Srinagar, 27 February (KNS): The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) held a meeting of its leaders and workers from Budgam District. The meeting was chaired by the party general secretary G N Lone Hanjura and was attended by all the senior party workers from the district.

As per the statement issued to news agency-kashmir news service(KNS), “The meeting congratulated the party president Mehbooba Mufti on her re-election as the party chief and resolved to work tirelessly to strengthen the party at the grassroots level,” a party spokesman said in a statement issued here.

The meeting held threadbare discussion on the party related matter in the district and deliberated on issues to augment the party organizational structure at basic levels.

Speaking on the occasion, G N Lone Hanjura welcomed the recent developments wherein strengthening of mechanisms for effective ceasefire along LOC was announced jointly by DGMOs of Indo-Pak Armies.

“We welcome the developments and believe that greater cooperation, dialogue and reconciliation holds key to peace and prosperity in the subcontinent. We in J&K are always the most affected by the hostilities between two countries and wish that they engage constructively so that J&K becomes a bridge of peace between the two countries,” Hanjura said.

The meeting was also attended by Agha Syed Mohsin, Fayaz Ahmad Dar, Shahnawaz Mir, Tariq Mohi ud Din, Peer Hisam ud din, Abdul Salam Bhat, Mohd Rajab Lone, Jaffar Lone. (KNS)
