Srinagar, March 18:(KNS)  Peoples Democratic Party has rebuked the hollow slogans of the administration touting development as their priority sector.

In a statement issued to "Kashmir News Service" (KNS)  Party General Secretary Gh Nabi Lone Hanjura has said the inertia plaguing the pace of development in Kashmir has laid bare the inefficiency and high headedness of the administration which in the current political vacuum believes it is answerable to no one.

“Projects approved by an elected government led by PDP under the leadership of Mehbooba Ji have either been shelved or languishing for the paucity of funds or bureaucratic redtapism. Budgam and Ganderbal districts are the worst sufferers of such official apathy,” Hanjura said.

Addressing the first meeting of party functionaries from Budgam and Ganderbal, post party restructuring, Hanjura said that it is imperative now for the party rank and file to strengthen the roots of the party and to vociferously champion the causes of common man.

“In these trying times the agenda of Peoples Democratic Party is the only viable solution for the lasting peace in J&K. The onus falls on party workers to reach out to all segments of population, amplify the message of hope and democratic resistance championed by Mehbooba Ji and to strengthen the party structure,” Hanjura added.

Taking satisfaction in the fact that all district conventions organized by District bodies till now have been widely received, Hanjura said that party workers of twin districts of Budgam and Ganderbal should work tirelessly to make the convention a success.

“Budgam and Ganderbal are the priority districts for PDP.  Our workers are reinvigorated to strengthen party. The convention will be a token of thanks from workers of these districts towards Mehbooba Ji`s resolve and her untiring efforts.” Hanjura added.

Those who attended the meet included State Secretary Organisation  Ab Hameed Kosheen and leaders from District Committee Budgam Md Yaseen Bhat, Tariq Mohiuddin, Fayaz Ahmed Dar( DDC Member), Shahnawaz Ahmed (ZP), Ab Salam Bhat, Basharat Naseem, Bashir Ah Beigh, Sonaullah Dar and leaders from District Committee Ganderbal which included Bilal Ahmed ( VC DDC Ganderbal),  Md Yousuf Bhat (DDC), Zahoor Ah Bhat, Mushtaq Ah Bhat and Gh Nabi Shaheen.(KNS)
