Patients quarantined at SDH Kupwara allege “unattended” by doctors, ADC contested


Kupwara, July 14 (KNS): Several patients quarantined in Sub-District hospital Kupwara on Tuesday alleged of unhygienic facilities at the centre and stated no doctor visited them from last four days.
Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS) over phone, quarantined patients narrated their post-quarantine ordeal. They said soon after they were quarantined at SDH Kupwara, they are facing extreme mental and physical torture as centre lacks all required facilities for quarantined persons.
They alleged that not a single doctor visited them for any medical investigation from last four days which exposes the tall claims of health department. They added that bathrooms of SDH Kupwara are totally unhygienic, fouling bad smell which led many quarantined persons to vomit.
They appealed authorities to look after them regularly and take care of their health while maintaining hygiene at the centre.
ADC Kupwara Nazir Ahmad told KNS that how it is possible that the centre will be unattended by doctors from four days and added still he will take up the issue with concerned CMO. (KNS)
