Ganderbal, 10 Feb (KNS): The People'd Alliance for Gupkar Declaration on Wednesday won the chairperson and vice-chairperson posts of district development council in central Kashmir's Ganderbal district.

Sources told news agency KNS that Nuzhat Ishfaq of the National Conference was elected as chairperson of DDC Ganderbal after she got 9 votes during the election meeting.

They said that the vice-chairperson post was bagged by the PDP after its candidate Bilal Ahmad secured 8 votes.

Earlier, an election meeting of the elected DDC members was called today to elect the chairperson and vice-chairperson for DDC Ganderbal. (KNS)
