Srinagar 29 February (KNS): Assuring fair and transparent recruitment, Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSRB) Chairman, Khalid Jahangir on Sunday asked the candidates not to fall prey to the elements claiming influence in selection process.


Saying that merit is the only criteria that would ensure selection of candidates, JKSSRB Chairman advised the candidates to work hard and stay focused in the examination. 

He also said the objective type test for Class-IV Posts of various departments are going smoothly and results are expected to be within a month.

Talking to news agency-Kashmir News Service (KNS), he said  four lac five thousands candidates appeared for eight thousand five hundred seventy five posts in three hundred eighty two centers across UT.


He added that officials deployed for examination duty caught six candidates for indulging in malpractice.

“The candidates were found to be in possession of Bluetooth devices/ electronic equipment during Class-IV examination”, he added.

He further added that in order to maintain transparency & fairness in the examination it was decided to debar the 6 candidates for 3 years from participating in the Examinations conducted by the J&K Services Selection Board and added that the candidates who are scheduled to appear for Class-IV examination to be held on 01st March, 2021 (phase-03) are once again cautioned to desist from indulging in such malpractices as strict action shall be taken against erring candidates by the J&K Services Selection Board.(KNS)
